Mode Conditioning Cables (MCCs) are essential when using Gigabit Ethernet routers, switches, or transceivers over existing multimode fibre optic networks. They help prevent signal distortion and ensure reliable performance by aligning singlemode transmit signals with multimode fibre.
To function correctly, MCCs must be installed in pairs—one at each end of the transmission path—between the equipment and the fibre network.
